Pip Calculator
Work out the value of a pip for any pair and lot size.
A pip is the standard unit of movement in a currency pair. Its cash value depends on the pair, your lot size, and the rate between the quote currency and your account currency. Use this to understand the real cost of each price tick before you trade.
Educational only. Pip values are estimates and ignore financing, commissions, and slippage.
Frequently asked questions
What is a pip in forex?
A pip is the smallest standard price move, usually the fourth decimal place (0.0001) for most pairs and the second decimal (0.01) for JPY pairs.
Why does pip value change with lot size?
Pip value scales directly with trade size. A standard lot is 100,000 units, so each pip is worth roughly 10 quote-currency units; a mini lot is one-tenth of that.
